Get Connected With BVBC
Soon after your first visit to Bow Valley Baptist, you will hear about our Connection Groups. These are smaller communities of people who gather to connect with God and with each other. All of our groups are different. Most meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00am but some also meet at different times on different days during the week. We also have Connection Groups for youth and children.
As soon as you hang out with us for a short time, you will find that most weeks are full of other opportunities for our people to serve, grow, and connect.
God intends for us to have an abundant and joyful life so we value being together and have a great time while we gather. Throughout the year, we plan a variety of events intended to help us all on our journey with Christ and each other.
Men, women, married, single, parents…we have a place for you to learn, serve, and grow and we have a lot of fun along the way.
SUNDAYS AT 9:00am
Foundations – Room 111
This is a class for people curious about Christianity, new in their faith, or needing to sharpen their skills as a Bible teacher. We look at what we believe as followers of Christ though reading, discussing and applying insights about God to our daily life. This fall we will be studying God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Leader: Dan Morgan
Bible for Life – Room 113
We will gather in community around God’s Word starting this year with a focus on the Gospel of John, written so that we may know Christ, believe fully in Him, and experience an abundant life that overflows in love to God and others.
Leader: Barry Nelson
Experienced Adults – Room 105
This fall we will be studying the books of Exodus and Leviticus to see what God’s word will say to us. In the spring we will be looking at Acts and 1-2 Corinthians. If you consider yourself to be a senior adult or you just like hanging out with those who are more seasoned with life, this group is for you.
Leaders: Philip & Sabine Koster, Bob & Alvena Taggart, DK & Brenda Hale
Women on Adventure – Room 110
This group is for women who wish to share and grow together through the unpredictable journey that comes when we invite God fully into everything we do. Our goal is to go deeper in our connection with God and other women as we trust God to lead us on the grand adventure of life.
From September to December we will be studying the book, Simplify, ten practices to unclutter your soul, by Bill Hybels. This book contains everything you need to create a God-first schedule that will radically simplify your life. And when you do, you’ll find a freedom you’d almost forgotten was possible.
From January to May we will be studying the Book, Lies Women Believe. The lies Christian women believe are at the root of their struggles. In Lies Women Believe, Nancy Leigh DeMoss exposes areas of deception common to many Christian women — lies about God, sin, priorities, marriage and family, emotions, and more.
