Life as a teen in Alberta Canada comes with many challenges. You are not in it alone! Our youth ministry (grades 6-12) is a place for students to make friends, have fun, grow spiritually, and to impact the lives of others.
We gather weekly in small and large groups to experience the good news of Jesus and to enjoy the journey we are on alongside other people. We strive to connect students with God, our leaders, and each other in an environment where we can have fun, wrestle with difficult questions through God’s word, and be real with each other.
What should I know?
For the Spring of 2021, the BVBC Youth Group will be meeting together on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30. We ask that parents also will register their kids online beforehand using Eventbrite and then the students can come, have fun, and be safe! If parents are unable to register online, we would still love for the students to come and can register them before youth at the church. 🙂

Join dozens of Cochrane students for worship, Bible study, and tons of fun! The Youth Ministry is the place to be for students in grades 7-12.

IMPACT – Wednesday’s from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Our Wednesday night student ministry and happens from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, each week from September through June. Each Wednesday night during the month has a different focus based on a wholistic approach to learning and building community. Some nights the youth split into their small groups, which are age and gender specific and some weeks they all meet together.
Small Groups (1st Wednesday of the month)
Small groups meet, at the church with, adult group leaders. Time is spent catching up on life, having some fun, planning for the group’s service project for serve night, and most importantly, a discussion oriented Bible study…all for the purpose of growing in community and God’s word.
Serve Night and Q&A Night (Alternating on the 2nd Wednesday of the month)
The students in their Small Groups determine a way to serve the community of Cochrane. Then, on Serve night, they go and execute their project. Groups meet at the church at 6:30pm for some final organization. Then they head out to serve. All the groups meet back here at the church for some discussion before being dismissed at 8:30pm.
The Q&A nights are an opportunity for youth to ask questions about God, the Bible or Christianity. We want to encourage open discussion as well as answer questions that the youth are wondering about. We spend time in games and fellowship together before coming together as a group for the Q&A time.
Mixed Night (3rd Wednesday of the month)
We meet together at the church as a large group. We play games, hang out, and have a Bible study all together. After the Bible study we split into our small groups to discuss what we learned and connect with each other. Then we come back together as a large group for a snack time before pick up at 8:30pm.
Large Group (4th Wednesday of the month)
All students meet together at the church for an intense night of fun, friendship, worship done by a youth worship team, and God’s word. Increase nights are designed uniquely for students to experience the truth and relevance of Biblical community.
Every few months, there are 5 Wednesdays. When that happens, we will have a games night.

S.A.L.T – Sunday’s @ 9:00am (September to June)
Come join us in a great time of connecting with each other and God’s word. There are two different age groups that meet together. Grades 7-9 and Grades 10-12. This fosters a small group feel while the teaching can connect with what each age group is working through in their lives.
